The Price is $25 for R! member and $30 for non-member. NRA current students need to bring their ID card to enjoy the membership price.

Results Day *edited on 20thSept / Street Jazz Cancelled / Recognize Studio Privileges

Hi there people!

As you guys know, results for this semester will be out 16th September (Friday).
All of you are required to submit your results to your respective in-charge by 2nd October (Sunday), 2359. You need to "Print Screen" your result slip page and attach the file and submit to your in-charge via Email. Please submit your current GPA results NOT the cumulative GPA score.

Steps on how to submit your results:
1. Click "Ctrl" & "Print Screen" and paste your results picture onto Paint.
2. Save your file as a "jpg" file which is a picture document.
3. Log into your email account & attach this file.
4. Under the "Subject:", state Your full name, which Batch you are from, GPA Pass or Fail.
Example: Lim Sin Yee, Junior, GPA 3.1 OR Lim Sin Yee, Junior, GPA 1.8
5. Lastly, send this email to your respective in-charges.

Do note that there are 2 criteria to fulfil for you to Pass: GPA must be above 2.o AND must Pass all modules.
You Fail when: GPA below 2.0 AND/OR Fail any module.
(If you fail this semester, it means that you will be unable to come back for classes & participate in Danzation and/or any performances/competitions in NRA for a semester)

Recognise studio is giving all NRA members who are still NP current student the membership price for classes at recognise studio. However, once you've graduated from NP, you will no longer eligible for this privilege.

This membership price is 4 dollars cheaper, entitles you to get cheaper packages, courses and special events like workshops. So do show some supports for them!

HELLO EVERYONE! NRA IS FINALLY HAVING 2011 FRESHIE CAMP on the 2ND, 3RD & 4TH SEPTEMBER!

We know you guys have been waiting for this and be sure to attend this
milkteawithextrabubbles camp because it'll be the best thing you've ever done!

Do download the form attached and submit it to Huda/Valerie. They will
be at Ourspace, infront of Smooch, from 10am to 5pm. In addition, please
pay $15 for this camp. Remember that this camp is compulsory for all. If you are not able to make it for valid reasons , do provide a letter of proof. In addition , please text Farah with your name and special food diet.

Studio Air Condition

Do take note that whoever is using the Blk 73 studio at around 9.30om will need to switch off all the air-cons. This is because we cannot wait for it to auto shut as it will auto operate in the next morning and we have received complains from the school.

The Ultimate Fashion Dance Showdown

Hey guys!

Xueqi's team is working together with Nokia, putting up a dance competition too.
Finals is either on the 6th/7th August (Sat/Sun) 7-10pm.
Grand prize is SGD1,000 cash and also SGD100 each for the best solo and fashion style Winners will also be featured on RazorTV and Campus Magazine.

Only requirement for Finals is each member needs to have a short solo. Choreography is 2-3 minutes (Solo is within the Choreography). Auditions just need to submit any dance video, can be past performance/competitions. Dateline is on 24th July, Sunday 23:59.

NDP 2011 Dance Campaign

hey guys!

The organizer will be filming a video of your group, which will be used as a transition video on the actual day celebration. During the filming, you will be asked some questions pertaining to National Day e.g.:

How do you feel about National Day?
Why do you think Singapore is special?
What are your favourite national day moments?
How do you see Singapore in 20 years time?
What are your wishes for Singapore
What is your performance about? Why did you choose that song for your performance?
How do you feel to be able to perform for the event?
How do you plan to celebrate national day?
etc......

The filming will take place on:

Date/Day : 26 July 2011, Tuesday
Venue : Dreamworkz at Studio 27
Time : 6.30-7.30pm.
Each group will be scheduled 30mins each. Duration may vary slightly depending on punctuality of the group and time needed for filming.

National Day Concert *edited 17thJuly

Hey guys!

SDAR's holding a National Day Concert on the 5th of August (Friday) 2011. From 1pm to 2:45pm.
NRA needs to send in 5 dancers to do a combined performance with DanceSport, D3, Chinese Dance and Malay Dance. All performers will get CCA points.
Also, the whole item will be 3 - 4 minutes long where everything is choreographed for you. Please note that you've to commit to the dance practices.

Idea:
First Part- Introduce the different dance groups meaning do our own 'genre' of dance (DanceSport, D3, Chinese Dance, Malay Dance and NRA)
Second Part- All the CCA groups will come and dance together

Schedule:
Monday, 18th July 2011, 830pm-930pm (ALL DANCE CCA GROUPS)*edited*
Friday, 22th July 2011, 630pm-730pm (ONLY THE 5 NRA DANCERS)
Tuesday, 26th July 2011, 630pm-830pm (ALL DANCE CCA GROUPS)

The deadline for this is 17th June (Friday). All members who joined the club are required to fill up the form. A student is only considered an official member when the form is submitted. Please note that someone who is not a member of the club will NOT be enjoying the privileges of the membership (e.g. CCA points, use of equipment & facilites).
Similarly, if anyone decide to withdraw from the club, you will need to submit an Official Letter of Withdrawal to the club. So please submit BOTH the forms within the deadline given, late submission will not be entertained.

NDP 2011 Dance Campaign

There is a upcoming fringe event about 1 month before National Day.
The dance choreography will be choreographed by Mr Patrick Loo. The dance steps will be easy for people of all ages.

Number of freshies needed : 50
Venue : TBC

The rehearsals dates that the dancers have to attend are as follows :

18 June 2011 ( 1500-1900 hours)

There are 2 upcoming Luis Soto from Box Cuttah Crew and Dea from Choreo Cookies Workshops. The workshop will be conducted in Ngee Ann Poly, Studio 73-07. A Minimum deposit of $20.00 is required to confirm a slot. Those that have paid deposit can pay the remainder on the day of the workshop itself.Those who are interested, please transfer the money to Posb Savings 247-36113-8 and sms (your name, contact number, class type(Luis OR Dea OR Both) and amount transferred) to Ziling (90696617). There will be no refund/back out once confirmation of the slot.

Date&Time: 26th of July(Tue) at 6.30pm-10pm

1) Everyone that takes the workshop is entittle to attend a seminar on
the 29th July(Fri) at scape. This dance seminar will be chaired by Tiny
Toons, Eddie Morales, Candace Brown, Luis Soto and Chaldea Sevilla. This
seminar is an invite only seminar.

2) Luis and Dea will also pick 2-3 dancers from each school for a mini
recital on the 30thJuly(Sat). Recital practices will be on the 28th July(Thur) &
29thJuly(Fri).

Hey people! Here are some of the updates :)

1. Audition dates will be on (Friday) 13th May 2011 , 6.30pm to 10.00pm and (Saturday) 14th May 2011 , 10.00am to 5.30pm

2. For those who have registered during the CCA Fiesta , please come down 1hr before the audition starts. Please be on time as your slot may be delayed if you are late.

3. For those that are interested but did not sign up for the audition during the CCA Fiesta , please come down 1 hr before the audition starts for the registration. The audition will start as stated below.

Friday : 6.30pm
Saturday : 10.00am and 2.00pm

You may still come down anytime but the timing for your audition may vary. Do take note that priority will still be given to those those who have sign up during the CCA Fiesta. Therefore , you may have to wait for awhile. Sorry for any inconvenience.

4. All the slots will be on a first come first serve basis and priority will be given to those who have registered during the CCA Fiesta and come down at their assign slots.

5. The venue is yet to be confirm but signs will be put up to lead you to the venue.

6. Please be in proper attire and be in your shoes. No slippers , flip flops , jeans and bermudas are allowed.

There is an upcoming dance production from Korea by GORILLA CREW called "Return".
They came to Singapore before and did production called "Bboys & Ballerinas" so they are back again!! if you are interested to watch this event, the details are as follows:
Date & Time:
- 5th Nov (Friday) at 3.00pm AND 8.00pm
- 6th Nov (Saturday) at 3.00pm AND 8.00pm
- 7th Nov (Sunday) at 3pm
Duration: 90 minutes without intermission
Venue: Esplanade

You may attend Jazz and Street Jazz Classes from now onwards. Here are the details:
Friday - Jazz Technique @ 8:30pm
Saturday - Street Jazz @ 1:00pm
Classes will be held in Studio 71.

Priortising Danzation

Hello people!!

As you know Danzation will be next year and we will be having quite alot of trainings. We also understand that some of you are interested to take part in upcoming performances or competitions. However, we hope that you will be able to cope with both if you decide to participate in Danzation and external dance events at the same time. If we feel that when you missed rehearsals & under-perform due to inexcusable reasons, the choreographers will not hesitate to pull you out of the item.

So do evaluate on your part to see if you are capable on handling multiple events ^.^ We seek your understanding that high commitment level is required for Danzation 2011.

Hello freshies :D

Just want to remind you guys about the rules of NRA (:

#1. NO food/drinks to be consumed in the studio (Exception: Plain water). Covered packet food/bottled drinks can be brought inside studio but kept in your bags. Bubbletea/Drinks that come in cups, leave it outside studio.

#2. Keep the studio clean & take care of the equipments in the studio.

#3. Be punctual for class. Try to reach the studio 15 mins before class starts to facilitate attendance taking & money collection so that class can start on time (: If you're late for more than 15 mins after class starts, you will not be allowed to attend class. Do inform the secretary/treasurer if you cannot come for class/going to be late - with valid reasons!

#4. Wear proper attire for class.
NO shorts/skirts/jeans/berms/cargo/slippers/pumps/flats/sandals/accessories(bangles/earrings/caps/hats/beanies).
Failure to wear proper attire = not allowed to take class.

#5. Do remember to silent your phones during class so as to not disrupt the class. Ask for permission before doing your own things (e.g. going to the toilet or drinking water, etc.)

#6. Only NRA members are allowed to use the studio.

#7. Have basic respect for one another :D

To add on, please do not leave your personal belongings in the studio as we are not responsible for any of your losses.

Black Fujitsu Laptop, cost: $2.2k, bought this year.
It's in a plain black Fujitsu casing with the word 'Fujitsu' on the cover.

Hello Freshies batch of 2010!!!

Here are the updates regarding the upcoming auditions.
Date: 29th Apr (Thursday), 30th Apr (Friday) & 1st May (Saturday)
Registeration timings: 6pm (29th Apr & 30th Apr) ; 1pm (1st May)
Venue: Studio 71 (Located near Blk 72)
What to wear: Comfortable attire (NO skirts, shorts, jeans, slippers or sandals are allowed!)

Points to take note:
- We can only allow 40 people to audition per timeslot. Therefore, the 'first come first serve' system will come into place.
- We will be auditioning a total of 80 people (2 timeslots) respectively on Thursday & Friday. For Saturday, the number of timeslots will varies depending on the response. *edited*
- Just to let you know, those who have went for auditions and felt that you didn't do your best & could have done better, are most welcome to come for auditions again. However, please try to come on Saturday instead. *edited*
- Please be prepared to wait for your audition thus try to keep yourself free on the selected day you decide to come.
- Audition will comprise of a short choreography that will be taught & also, there may be freestyle.

For girls: Foundation, Eye shadow (Black and white), Mascara, Eyeliner, Blusher with brush, Concealer, Comb, a pair of fake eyelash with eyelash glue, make up sponge (should come with the foundation), Hairspray

Just to remind you guys that today is Results Day!!! :O
Juniors and Seniors and required to submit your results to your in-charge by This Sunday (20 Sep) by 8PM. You need to "Print Screen" your results slip page and attach the file and submit to your in-charge via Email ^.^

Steps on how to submit your results:
1. Click "Ctrl" & "Print Screen" and paste your results picture onto Paint.
2. Save your file as a "jpg" file which is a picture document.
3. Log into your email account and attach this file.
4. Under the "Subject:", state Your full name, which Batch you are from, GPA Pass or Fail.
Example: May Lim, Junior, GPA 3.1 OR May Lim, Senior, GPA 1.8
5. Lastly, send this email to your respective in-charges ^.^

Do take note that there are 2 criteria to fulfill for you to Pass: GPA must be above 2 AND all Subjects must Pass.
You Fail when: GPA below 2 OR Fail any 1 module.
